Donald
G. Bigler, an industrialist, aviation executive and promoter of
general aviation. Professional contribution to all phases of manufacturing
and engineering related to aero-space engines and accessories
began in 1960. His vision, combined with outstanding management
ability, has been responsible for many innovative ideas in aircraft
engine production. As president of Teledyne Continental Motors,
Aviation Products Division, Mobile, Alabama, he was responsible
for the design and development of engines which powered the Voyager
around the world non-stop, non-refuel flight in 1986. Through
strong and highly-respected leadership he established Alabama
as a recognized manufacturing center for aircraft engines.
