Born
in Luverne, Alabama. Served as Flight Instructor and Assault Glider
Pilot during World War II. Post World War II flying career began
at Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University). Nationally
recognized as a leader in aircraft slaes and service. Continualy
active in all phases of general aviation longer than any other
Alabama operator. Co-founder of Montgomery Aviation Corporation
1945. Later organized Birmingham Aviation and Huntsville Aviation.
Served as president of Montgomery chapter, Air Force Association.
Selected AFA (State of Alabama) "Man of the Year" 1973.
President, Montgomery Aero Club, Alabama Air Service Operators,
National Taxi Conference. Chairman, Alabama Aviation hall of Fame
Board 1984.
