"Pilot's Pilot", highly respected by all, loved and
cherished by many. He was born in Daphne, Alabama in 1922. Received
pilot's wings in U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He became
a civil aviation enthusiast after the war. He was recognized as
a supreme acrobatic and instructor pilot. "Pop" groomed
and refined many highly skilled, safe, acrobatic pilots, many
of whom became well-known air show performers. He was very active
in organizing public air shows in Alabama, Mississippi and Northwest
Florida. He was a featured performer in more than 100 air shows.
Mark Reynolds County Airport was named in his honor.
