Leonardo's Flying Machines
Free during Exhibition Dates
Grades 4 and up. $5 per person after Nov 9th
Companion Program to the Birmingham Museum of Art’s The
Drawings of Leonardo da Vinci” September 28 – November 9,
2008
Children will:
• See a replica of one of Leonardo’s Flying Machines
• Learn about Leonardo’s Studies Of Flight
• Try their hand at making one of Leonardo’s Flying Machines or Kite.

Spaces will be limited for this free program for school groups.
2 Hours; 60 students maximum
Birds to Planes
Grades K5 & up
$5 per person
Children will:
• Discover " The original flying machine.”  - the bird!
• Learn how birds were man’s Inspiration for flight and aircraft design.
• See a mechanical bird, radio control aircraft & helicopter demonstration
• Make a bird kite
2 Hours; 60 students maximum
