The event will begin
with a reception and social hour at 6:00 p.m., followed by the official program and induction ceremony at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are only $50.00 (a charitable donation to the Alabama Aviation Hall of Fame Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization) and include both dinner and admission to this historic event (Black Tie Optional). The program will feature dignitaries and honorees who have contributed to Alabama’s great aviation legacy.
The Southern Museum of Flight
began as a result of the hard work and commitment of Alabama Aviation Hall of Fame Member Mary Alice Beatty, who, with her husband, Alabama Aviation Hall of Fame Member Donald Beatty, was a pioneer in the establishment of the first airline routes and bases in Central and South America. As an early aviator herself, Mrs. Beatty accumulated and possessed a vast collection of aviation memorabilia and knowledge, and she was interested in establishing a home for this collection so that future generations could learn from the early years of air travel and the aviation field in general.
