Pilot’s
Shop
The museum'’s store is an exciting place to
shop for the aviation enthusiast in your family. You'll find items to
please young ones - from soft cradle mobiles and "aviation bears"
to gliders for the young pilot. Older kids will love the selection of
model airplanes with varying levels of difficulty - from "snap together"
to complex building models. Flight jackets, complete with patches, come
in a variety of sizes to fit most of the youngsters in the family. Play-sets,
aviation education/coloring books, and die cast model airplanes of all
sorts are available.
For the more mature tastes, there are beautiful prints by aviation artist
Wade Meyers, aviation movies, pewter key chains, and a variety of caps.
"Women Fly" T-shirts - a project to generate awareness of women's
achievement in aviation - are represented. There are specialty card sets
and airplane pen holders to complement any desk. A variety of aviation
books are also available, including those hard-to-find on Alabama aviation.
Visit the Pilot's Shop. You'll find something appropriate for any taste
and age. It's a fabulous place to shop!

Aircraft
Theater. Video presentations on
the history of flight, early aircraft design, aircraft restoration and
the pioneers of flight are shown in the theater.
Sky Gallery Meeting Room.
The meeting room, overlooking one of the aircraft exhibit halls, seats
100 plus and is available for use by aviation-related organizations. Often,
the Sky Gallery is used for Aviation Art Exhibits.

Library. The museum’s library contains more than 2500
aviation books, technical publications, periodicals and videos. It is
available for members by appointment.
